Flexible Camera Processors

Flexible Camera Processors

Flexible camera processors receive analog or digital signals from the video scope and apply image enhancement technology such as enhanced color reproduction, reduction of image noise, and decreased halation to deliver high quality images during delicate endoscopic procedures. Some flexible camera processors use Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) technology to help surgeons differentiate between benign and malignant tissues. Others can electrically amplify images when there is not enough light, while some have built-in light sources to save cost. Flexible camera processors can provide either analog or digital output, or both, and are often equipped with USB ports to facilitate export of videos, images, or audio files. Flexible camera processors are practically the brains of a highly effective endoscopic imaging system.
