Drager Evita XL Ventilator
The Drager Evita XL Ventilator is a versatile mechanical ventilator specifically designed for long-term use in ICU environment, recovery room, and during transportation of ventilated patients within the hospital. The Evita XL is capable of delivering ventilation and respiratory support for a variety of patients by using several ventilation delivery modes, such as Continuous Mandatory Ventilation (CMV), and Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (SIMV). These features make this ventilation system perfectly suited for supporting adults, children, and neonates with a minimum body weight of 3 kg (6.6lbs).

The ventilation modes include Continuous Mandatory Ventilation (CMV), Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (SIMV), Mandatory Minute Volume Ventilation (MMV), Spontaneous Breathing (SB), Pressure Controlled Ventilation Plus (PCV+), Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), Biphasic Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP), Pressure-supported spontaneous breathing (PSupp), and Independent Lung Ventilation (ILV).
The ventilation system also offers an unparalleled recovery support by providing an invasive and non-invasive ventilation and oxygen therapy which help improve the workflow and reduce the risk of re-intubation. Featuring an advanced leakage compensation feature in Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV), the Evita XL is responsive and reliable during tidal volume delivery even when there are high leakages. This allows for smooth ventilation and better patient comfort and minimizes patient risk.
The Drager ventilation system helps to get patients off the ventilator safely, quickly, and efficiently by utilizing the SmartCare/PS automated weaning system. It is also provided with an open breathing system with MMV which ensures that patients will receive a pre-set volume regardless of the spontaneous breathing level.
