The Siemens Arcadis Orbic 3D C-Arm is an intra-operative 3D imaging system designed to facilitate safer and more precise diagnostic and surgical intervention. Specifically designed for operating room settings, this C-Arm utilizes the iso-centric design and 190-degree orbital movement of the Arcadis Orbic which allows for fast scanning while providing a heightened intra-operative 3D imaging. This feature allows the Orbic 3D to be used in a variety of applications, including, but not limited to orthopedic, trauma, and spine surgery.
The Siemens Arcadis Orbic 3D C-Arm is a multi-purpose digital imaging device designed to improve the entire clinical workflow and allow for safer and more precise diagnostic and surgical intervention. Combining the Arcadis Orbic’s tried and tested iso-centric design and 190-degree orbital movement with the unique syngo software, the Orbic 3D is ideally suited for intra-operative use in orthopedic, trauma, and spine diagnostics and surgeries. The Orbic 3D’s software is intended to improve the clinical workflow, from patient registration to image documentation and archiving. Aside from enabling seamless data transfer between hospital information system and the C-Arm worklist, the software also supports the functionalities of most DICOM 3.0 to improve the efficiency with respect to post-processing, archiving, and documentation with CD, DVD, and USB. This next-generation C-Arm maximizes the advantages presented by the iso-centric design and the 190-degree orbital movement with 95-degree overscan by the Arcadis Orbic to eliminate the need for repositioning, maximize the scanning time efficiency, and decrease the dose received by patients. This system makes sure that the distance between the image intensifier or the X-ray tube and the body being scanned is constant to ensure the high quality of the resulting image output. The system is also equipped with the Siemens Remote Services which can improve the machine’s uptime and utilization rates. The Siemens Remote Services is capable of monitoring the C-Arm's systems and can detect parameter deviations to reduce the likelihood of downtime due to system errors. This remote diagnostic capability allows the manufacturers to easily identify defective parts to facilitate quick delivery of replacement parts and to reduce downtimes due to repair procedures.
