The Wallach ZoomStar is a versatile, compact, and mobile microscope for use in the field of Colposcopy. The ZoomStar colposcope is designed to deliver razor-sharp three-dimensional images needed to determine the subtle abnormalities in a tissue, and allow the medical personnel to perform biopsies and surgeries. The ZoomStar colposcope is provided with a Stereoscope Nikon head and a Nikon zoom optics. The optical system is designed to provide the right magnification and field of view at all times. Coupled with a 30-degree angled eyepiece designed for the comfort of the medical personnel, the optical system provides a full range of magnification from 4.5x to 20x. The Trulight Lighting System integrated into the ZoomStar colposcope is designed to provide a brighter illumination by using five solid state, long-life light emitting diodes (LEDs). The longevity of LEDs means that the need for replacing the illumination source is reduced. The mobile stand utilized by the ZoomStar colposcope is a compact center mobile stand. The compact stand improves the space utilization and the cost effectiveness of the whole unit. The Trulight Lighting System, the Stereoscope Nikon head and Nikon zoom optics, and the stable mobile stand enable the ZoomStar to deliver unparalleled images with a clarity that can permit the detection of minute abnormalities in a tissue.
