The ConMed Linvatec Hall 5020-027 MicroChoice Wiredriver/Fixation Drill is a high-performance tool configured to be used in small bone resection procedures. This is a small, lightweight, and ergonomically designed precision instrument which improves the reliability and versatility of the device, which helps enhance a practitioner's precision and control. This device uses a MicroChoice Controller which is designed with closed-loop feedback system that can maintain a constant speed even when there is an increase in the load, thereby improving the drill’s safety and reliability. It also has a rated operating speed of 1000 RPM (forward/reverse). The MicroChoice Wiredriver/Fixation Drill is configured to accept K-Wires in range of 0.028-in to 0.062-in (0.7mm-1.6mm) and Steinmann Pins in range of 0.062-in to 0.125-in (1.6mm-3.2mm). It is also compatible with the 5023-123 Wire Guard series which also helps in improving user-protection.
