The Medrad Avanta is a precision fluid management system designed for multiple cardiac imaging applications. The Avanta is configured to inject contrast in variable mode at low flow rates and at high flow rates, and fixed mode for saline flushing. The injection system is designed for ease-of-use, safety, and efficiency that make it well suited for a wide range of applications including coronary, ventriculograms and aortograms.
The Medrad Avanta is a state-of-the-art fluid management system designed for multiple cardiac imaging applications, such as coronary, ventriculograms and aortograms. Optimized for ease-of-use, safety, and efficiency, the Avanta is configured to inject contrast in variable mode at low flow rates and at high flow rates, and fixed mode for saline flushing. The Avanta is designed to be easily used regardless of the imaging applications to be performed. It is equipped with an on-screen tutorial which allows the system to be setup easily and quickly. The pedestal or table mounting is provided with an independent mounting system for the display and the injection unit. The fluid management system is also provided with a color touchscreen that can be easily viewed. The Avanta can perform exact variable and fixed-flow delivery. It also exhibits a distinct bolus sharpness feature. The Avanta also has an improved accuracy and responsiveness with hand controller and allows for an automatic transition from injection to hemodynamic state. The Avanta optimizes control of the coronary injection, particularly with small catheters. It features precise injection pressure control with user-adjustable pressure limits and a redundant air management system. It can also perform its functions in a manner in which the radiation exposure for the clinician is reduced. The improved control for coronary injection, enhanced pressure control, the redundant air management system and the low radiation dose are devised to increase the patient safety.
