The Philips Heartstart XL+ Defibrillator has a similar user interface, similar alarms, and identical cables as the MRx and Philips Patient Monitors, making it an easy plug-and-use defibrillator suited for Rapid Response and Resuscitation Teams.
Philips Heartstart XL+ has a clear and uncluttered user interface that makes it suitable for giving quick cardiac care for Rapid Response and Resuscitation Teams. Its Smart Biphasic therapy is clinically proven to deliver efficient defibrillation and high-shock efficacy for long downtime SCA patients, and it can deliver max. shocks of 200 joules in 3 seconds. Users can seamlessly switch from manual mode to AED mode, allowing all levels of trained responders to operate this device. It also uses similar alarms and identical cables as Heartstart MRx and Philips Patient Monitors for an enhanced and simplified plug-and-play use. This standardization makes training more efficient and gives users more confidence in performing cardiac care. In AED mode, it can defibrillate any patient without the need for any special accessories and its Quick Shock feature (and a fast charge time to the standard adult dose in manual mode) help minimize CPR interruptions and speed shock delivery. It has customizable energy settings and defibrillation and a Strip Chart Recorder for printing. Optional parameters including 3- and 5-lead ECG, heart rate, SpO2, and NIBP provide continuity of care from the cardiac emergency to patient monitoring at the bedside. It has synchronized cardioversion whose Sync mode activation is indicated on the display and a non-invasive pacing with rate and output controls visible on the front panel. Event Review Summaries can be accessed using the display for printing and export, and can be easily copied for transfer using USBs.
