GE LightSpeed VCT 64 Slice CT Scanner

The GE LightSpeed VCT 64 is a precision VCT 64-Slice head and whole-body computed tomography (CT) scanner designed to obtain high-resolution images over a wide range of applications. High-powered, ergonomically-designed, compact, and versatile, the LightSpeed VCT 64 is a CT scanner that is equipped with GE's premium technologies adapted for delivering unparalleled image quality and allowing for lightning-quick scanning capabilities making it ideally suited for applications such as cardiac, neuro, angiography, pediatric, pulmonary and trauma.

Equipped with the V-Res detector, the LightSpeed VCT 64 can cover a wider area of the anatomy and can deliver high-resolution images. The coverage speed enables the medical personnel to capture whole organs in a matter of second. It can also scan the heart in just 5 beats and can perform imaging of head to toe in less than 10 seconds.

The GE premium CT scanner is also provided with innovative technologies such as the 5-Beat Cardiac, the Triple RuleOut, and the Stroke WorkUp. The 5-Beat Cardiac allows for a complete view of the heart and coronary arteries with submillimeter resolution in just 5 seconds. The Triple RuleOut enables the medical personnel to rule out or rule in the three most life-threatening critical conditions in chest pain in one single scan. The Stroke WorkUp allows for dynamic acquisition of both the anatomy and perfusion/blood flow to the brain in a cine scan. 

The LightSpeed VCT 64 also features the Performix Pro X-Ray tube, the Volora digital Data Acquisition System, and the Xtream FX workflow system. The Performix Pro X-Ray tube is designed to meet the demands on X-Ray sources while the Volara digital DAS is adapted to deliver high processing power. The Xtream FX workflow allows for the lightning quick reconstruction.
