Surgical Endoscopy

Surgical Endoscopy

Surgical endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure performed through the use of an endoscope inserted through one or more small incisions, along with various surgical instruments. Surgical endoscopy needs several key components: first, a rigid endoscope attached to a camera head must have a reliable lens system and surgical endoscopy light source for clear visualization. The camera head then uses enhanced sensor technology and sends analog or digital signals to the camera processor, which in turn applies image enhancement and provides video output. Surgical endoscopy monitors receive live feed from camera processors and then provide the critical visual display for surgeons. In addition, insufflators may be used to give more workspace, and other remote accessories provide comprehensive documentation of the procedure.
