The Toshiba Aquilion 64 is a precision 64-Slice head and whole-body computed tomography (CT) scanner designed to obtain high-resolution images over a wide range of imaging applications. A generation better than the widely acclaimed Aquilion 32, the Aquilion 64 utilizes Toshiba's 64-row Quantum Detector and the SURE technologies to improve the scanning time, scanning accuracy, and overall efficiency while reducing X-ray dose to increase the patient's safety and comfort.
The Aquilion 64 features Toshiba's 64-row Quantum Detector, one of the most advanced detectors ever equipped in a CT scanner. Together with Toshiba's unmatched volume imaging capabilities and high-end advanced software application, the Aquilion is capable of performing high-speed and high-resolution imaging covering a wider area of the anatomy.
The CT scanner, by using the Quantum detector, can perform the thinnest slice at 0.5 mm. This can improve the measurement accuracy which can help the medical personnel to utilize the data more accurately for quantitative treatment planning and calculation of volume.
The Aquilion 64 is also equipped with SURE Start, SUREExposure, and SURESubtraction. The SUREStart allows for real-time contrast monitoring while reducing the contrast load at a level that is the lowest among all the CT scanners. The SUREExposure is designed to control the radiation to ensure the optimum image quality at the optimum patient dose. The SURESubtraction is designed to remove the calcium interference with rapid angiographic views.
