It stores hospital-defined guidelines and uses this to double-check user input. Visual or audio warnings are issued when there is an inconsistent or unsafe entry. Device settings can also be customized to meet different demands and patient needs.
Another key feature of Alaris 8015 is its embedded network interface card, which provides wireless communication between the core module and Alaris Systems Manager. This raises efficiency by allowing easier access and interchange of information, or remote operation of the core module. For this feature to work, the PC unit and Alaris Systems Manager must be integrated into an existing network infrastructure of a healthcare facility.
