The Hospira Plum A+ Infusion Pump is a cassette based multi-function system. Its designed to administer fluids needed by the patient at standard, piggyback, or concurrent delivery. Its broad range of infusion rates from multiple containers gives it flexibility in dealing with patients from different areas of healthcare, such as but not limited to - general floor, ICU/CCU, Operating Room/Anesthesia, Oncology, Hemodialysis, Pediatrics, Neonatology, Nutrition, and even at Post Op/Recovery.
Its flexibility is enhanced with its clear and easy-to-follow screen prompts which displays predefined dosing parameters. As a safety feature, mandatory confirmation for dosage helps prevent mistakes which may result to medication errors.
This instrument also has an optional MedNet Software, which generates real-time reports and gathers data while the machine is at work. The program is designed to enforce best practices defined by the healthcare facility, and to track all information related to its use during IV therapy.
