The GE Signa Optima MR450w 1.5T is a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner used in hospital and clinics for radiology applications. The Signa Optima MR450w 1.5T is a versatile and powerful MRI scanning system designed for comprehensive assessment of cardiac, head, neurology, orthopedic, pelvis, prostate, spinal, spine, vascular, and the whole body.
The Optima MR450w 1.5T is equipped with a Noise reduction technology called Acoustic Reduction Technology (ART) and the GE's OpTix Optical RF Technology. The ART allows the MR450w 1.5T to perform its function at a reduced noise without image quality reduction.

The OpTix Optical RF Technology allows the Optima unit to deliver high-quality images that allows the attending medical personnel to have improved confidence with the diagnostic.
The MR450w 1.5T comes in with a 50 centimeter field of view and the IDEAL and VIBRANT-FLEX. The 50 centimeter field of view allows the device to cover more anatomy using fewer scans while the IDEAL and the VIBRANT-FLEX allow the MRI scanner to capture and deliver the high-resolution image.

It is also provided with 3-D Arterial Spin Labeling system (3D ASL) and the MR-Touch technology. The 3D ASL is designed to generate a full-coverage image of the brain while the MR-Touch is configured to provide new opportunities for clinicians to identify variations in liver tissue stiffness.
