The Medtronic O-Arm Surgical System is a mobile X-ray imaging system designed to be used in a variety of diagnostic and surgical procedures including spine, cranial, and orthopedics. This intra-operative 2D/3D imaging device is a versatile, high-performance medical device that provides real-time, highly accurate data concerning a patient? anatomic structures.

Equipped with a StealthStation navigation system, the O-Arm promotes an enhanced clinical workflow. It not only provides enhanced 3D visibility and surgical feedback, it also presents current patient data in the operating room. It also allows advanced surgical approaches and provides information with regards to challenging procedures. The O-Arm system also eliminates the need for patients to be scanned in radiology sections when procedures requiring pre-op axial/coronal/sagittal slice data is needed since the O-arm can be used to provide the initial data.

The O-Arm gives surgeons the flexibility to give the lowest possible dose. The workflow efficiency can also be improved since the O-Arm system can also be used to complement predetermined surgical scenarios with multiple surgical table options, inter-room mobility for concurrent cases, and on-demand imaging.

This mobile X-ray imaging system is specifically designed to be used in 2D fluoroscopy and 3D imaging for adults and pediatric patients weighing no less than 60 pounds and having an abdominal thickness of not less 13 centimeters.
