The Philips Brilliance 64 is a precision 64-Slice head and whole-body computed tomography (CT) scanner designed to obtain high-resolution images over a wide range of applications, such as for handling cardiac, trauma, pulmonary, and pediatric imaging. The Brilliance 64 is equipped with Philips' premium technologies including but not limited to MRC X-Ray Tube, DoseWise, NanoPanel tile detectors, and 3D Cone Beam reconstruction to improve the workflow efficiency, patient safety and comfort, and optimize the scanning efficiency.
The Philips premium CT scanner utilizes the DoseWise designed to reduce the radiation dose received by both the patient and the medical personnel. The DoseWise Portal aids in increasing the staff's and the patient's safety by automatically collecting comprehensive and accurate data with regards to the radiation dose.
The Brilliance 64 is equipped with the MRC X-Ray tube, a Philips innovation that eliminates the waiting time between sequences. It also allows the whole system to be used for a longer period of time due to its unparalleled heating capacity.
The 64 is also provided with NanoPanel tile detectors and the 3D Cone Beam reconstruction. The detectors are devised to increase the imaging accuracy while the 3D Cone Beam reconstruction system enables the lightning-quick image reconstruction. All these features are designed to optimize the scanning time, to enhance the overall efficiency and scanning accuracy, and to reduce the X-ray dose, all of which can increase the patient's safety and comfort.
