GE Venue 40 Portable Ultrasound

The GE Venue 40 Portable Ultrasound is designed for easy operability and to render fast, accurate, and high quality scanning. It simplifies workflow with its touch screen interface and pre-configured applications that support anesthesia, musculoskeletal, interventional, emergency and critical care, and vascular access environments. Its high resolution imaging and three probes complete the quick access to multiple exams. It also uses pattern recognition technology to reveal with precision the structure of a needle within anatomy without any distortion. Its image enhancement features provide accurate visualization of a target and its surrounding anatomy with more details and well defined edges. Another feature, the Power Doppler Imaging (PDI) helps detect inflammation and disease states both in adult and pediatric patients resulting to better diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment.

As a complete ultrasound solution, it is equipped with an image browser that retrieves archived images both for current and past patients from its external SD card or USB storage device. It stores still images in JPEG format, and video clips in MPEG4 format which facilitates easy transmission and file sharing in between devices. Since it has no seams, buttons, keyboard, or monitor frame to trap contaminants, it is easy to clean and maintain. The screen is splash-resistant and can withstand medical disinfectant as well as the wear and tear of everyday use.
