The Stryker 1488 HD Camera Console or Camera Control Unit (CCU) is the brain of the 1488 HD Camera system. It processes live feed from the camera and provide video and photographic images for surgeons. Its easy to use feature includes a touchscreen that allows access to different controls such as adjusting the light level, zoom level, and white balance. A Surgical Specialty setting optimizes camera performance for a specific surgical procedure.
The console is able to connect to several display and recording equipment. Voice operation and control using a graphic tablet is possible when it connects to a Stryker device control console. One analog S-video port with 4-pin connector, two digital DVI ports with 29 pin connector for monitors, and one DVI Fiber port with four lucent connectors, are at its rear panel. The two DVI connectors are compatible with analog output, with the use of a DVI-I to VGA adapter.
