Surgical Tables

Surgical tables can either be stationary or mobile, and are used in general or specialty-specific procedures. These tables have basic features such as an adjustable height so surgeons can adapt it to work ergonomically. They are composed of several sections that can be articulated to work with the natural anatomical bends of the body and ensure patient positioning suitable for operating. These units also have tilt and trendelenburg functions, to ensure better overview into body cavities. Another important feature is radiolucency, to give complete transparency to x-ray imaging systems, whereas some models have more of this. Other options available only on certain models include slide, rotation, removable leg sections and bariatric capabilities. There is no question that these devices have been an important part of the operating room for decades.
