The Zimmer ATS 1500 Tourniquet Machine is designed to temporarily stop blood flow in a patient's extremities to produce a bloodless field. It is ideal for various surgical procedures such as reduction of certain fractures, Kirschner wire removal, tumor and cyst excisions, nerve injuries, tendon repair, and more. It is built with safety in mind, and every time it powers on it performs an overall systems check. A number of conditions will also prompt the machine to produce a visual and/or audible alarm. For example, it issues a steady high pitch and a flashing sensed cuff pressure light when a substantial leak has been sustained for more than 9 seconds. Both its safety features and user-friendly interface enhance productivity and efficiency of surgeons.
