The SonoSite C15 Ultrasound Probe is a 15-millimeter broadband tightly curved array transducer type, operating at 4 to 2 MegaHertz and with a scan depth of 25 centimeters. It is used in abdominal ultrasound to help diagnose pain or distention and evaluate the gallbladder, liver, bile ducts, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and abdominal aorta. It is also used in transthoracic ultrasound (also known as Transthoracic Echocardiogram or TTE) to create a moving picture of the heart through the chest wall, and is an important diagnostic tool in modern chest medicine. The SonoSite C15 Ultrasound Probe is compatible with the SonoSite Titan, SonoSite 180 PLUS, Sonosite Elite, and Sonosite Heart ultrasound systems.
