The SonoSite L25x Ultrasound Probe is a 25-millimeter linear transducer that operates at a frequency of 13 to 6 MegaHertz and has a scan depth of 6 centimeters. It is used in lung ultrasound to assess soft tissues, ribs, pleura and lung sliding, and ophthalmic ultrasound as a diagnostic tool that provides instant feedback for the evaluation of various ophthalmic disorders. It is also used in musculoskeletal ultrasound to produce pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints throughout the body and help diagnose sprains, strains, tears, and other soft tissue conditions. In addition, it is intended for nerve ultrasound for the diagnosis of peripheral nerve disorders and also to identify other structures that can complicate surgical procedures, venous ultrasound to search for blood clots, and arterial ultrasound to evaluate the blood flow within the arteries of the arms or legs. The SonoSite L25x Ultrasound Probe is compatible with the SonoSite M-Turbo, SonoSite Edge II, and SonoSite SII ultrasound systems.
