The Fresenius 2008K Dialysis Machine is designed for ease of use and convenience of the home dialysis patient. It is equipped with a LCD screen that provides an intuitive graphical interface to access its unique functions. For example, its step-by-step tutorial is easy to follow due to the illustrations displayed on the screen. The Ultrafiltration (UF) calculator is another feature that simplifies the dialysis treatment by prompting just one treatment parameter from the user, making setup quick and simple. Also, it has an optional wireless wetness detector which stops the blood pump and sounds an alarm in the event that the venous needle dislodges.
In addition to its safety features, its DIASAFEplus filter reduces risks of potential contamination due to increased frequency and treatment time. Its connectors are color-coded, the line clamps are identified by letters, and these all match the on-screen prompts.
