The Hologic Lorad M-IV is a stationary imaging device specifically designed for screening and diagnostic mammography. Designed to be used in hospitals and clinics for breast cancer applications, the Lorad M-IV is a flexible and versatile breast imaging platform that can improve the workflow efficiency and can deliver high quality images that make the M-IV not only well suited for mammography applications but also for stereotactic procedures.
The M-IV features the High Transmission Cellular (HTC) Grid, the Bi-angular X-ray Tube, Fully Automatic Self-adjusting Tilt (FAST) Paddle technology, and a 3-Cell, 7 Position AEC Sensor which are utilized to deliver high-quality mammographic images. The HTC Grid is designed to provide higher contrast images while the Bi-angular X-ray tube is a customized high performance tube that enhances magnification views. The FAST Paddle technology, a design exclusive for Hologic, facilitates uniform compressor while the AEC Sensor is adapted to allow for more precise technique selection.
Designed for ease of operation, and configured for consistency and operator efficiency, the Lorad M-IV is equipped with AutoFilter, Automatic Collimation, Four Exposure Modes, and Operator Preferences. The AutoFilter is configured to enhance the convenience for selecting the appropriate exposure and filtration settings while the Automatic Collimation feature eliminates the needs for manual apertures completely. The Four Exposure Modes are designed to be selected based on the operator preference which can be stored and automatically activated upon log-in of the medical personnel.
The Lorad M-IV is not only designed to provide unmatched imaging results and operating efficiency, it is also adapted to improve the patient safety and comfort. The M-IV has a soft, curved lines and trim silhouette designed to improve patient positioning.
