The Varian Clinac iX is a state-of-the-art accelerator used for image-guided radiation therapy and radiosurgery. Designed to provide quick and precise imaging and patient treatment, the Clinac iX can also be used for advanced treatments such as IMRT, IGRT, VMAT, RapidArc and stereotactic radiosurgery. The Clinac iX features Varian's highly advanced technology Eclipse and the ARIA to enable the system to deliver the correct dose to the right body part. The Eclipse and the ARIA are integrally designed to reduce the errors due to the acquisition of huge amounts of data during treatment. This, in turn, enables the medical personnel to tailor a treatment procedure for a specific patient by incorporating the treatment planning and information management software. The accelerator has an intuitive workflow that can reduce the procedure time and, in turn, can increase the number of patients treated. It is also equipped with automated processes and built-in safety mechanisms which further increase the safety of both the clinician and the patient. The Clinac iX is equipped with the Motion Management Interface (MMI), High-Intensity Mode, RPM gating, and unparalleled imaging capabilities. It is also provided with the On-board Imager (OBI) kV imaging system that provides a wide array of imaging modalities, including kV, MV, CBCT, and fluoroscopy which can deliver high-quality images of soft tissue, boney anatomy or other markers for optimal patient positioning.
