Ventilators

Ventilators are medical machines designed to move oxygen into the lungs and remove carbon dioxide from the body. They are typically used by patients who are physically unable to breathe or are breathing insufficiently. These machines are also used during treatment for a serious lung disease of other conditions that affect normal breathing. Modern ventilators are electronically run by microchips that control pressure in the flow valve to meet patient-specific parameters, as well as perform monitoring and alarm functions. Ventilators are crucial life support for critically ill patients in all ICU settings.
