The Siemens Mammomat Novation DR is a low-dose mammography imaging system designed for breast screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic applications. Equipped with Siemens' premium technologies, the Mammomat Novation DR can deliver high-resolution images which can help the medical personnel tailor their treatment based on the scanned image.
The Siemens Mammomat Novation DR is an imaging system used in hospitals and clinics for mammography applications. Featuring Siemens' advanced technology designed to improve the overall clinical workflow, the Siemens Mammomat Novation DR can deliver high-quality images at a lower-dose that can enhance the clinical confidence of a medical personnel in providing high-quality care. Equipped with a pivoting bucky, the Novation DR is designed for 100% system utilization. The Novation can perform digital mammography screening and diagnostics, digital and geometrical magnification, digital spot imaging, digital needle localization, and digital galactography. The Novation DR can also be seamlessly integrated with the optional syngo Opdima digital spot imaging and digital biopsy system. With the optional syngo Opdima, the Novation DR can also perform digital stereotaxy (vacuum and core needle biopsy), digital specimen radiography, and digital high-resolution spot imaging. The Mammomat Novation DR is also provided with the Opfocus Compression Plate, SoftSpeed, Opcomp, and Opdose which are configured to improve patient and user comfort. The Opfocus compression plate enables the efficient utilization of the detector area to allow the inclusion of a wider area of the pectoral muscle in the image while the SoftSpeed is adapted for slowing the compression plate after the first contact with the breast and for adjusting the speed based on the compression resistance. The Opcomp is designed to stop compression only when the optimal compression is achieved to deliver optimum image quality while the Opdose is designed for automatic selection of the best anode/filter combination and the lowest dose for the individual breast characteristics.
