MRI Machines

MRI Machines

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines are used in radiology to form pictures of the anatomy and the physiological processes of the body. They can cover a broad range of applications such as Abdomen, Angiography, Breast, Cardiac, Knee, Musculoskeletal, Neurology, Shoulder, Spinal, Vascular Imaging, and Whole-Body Imaging. All these can be examined without the adverse effects associated with x-ray or CT scanners. MRI systems are placed in a special room with Faraday Shielding to protect it from external radio frequency interference (RFI) of other electronic equipment, as well as to keep its own electromagnetic radiation from causing interference in nearby medical devices.

MRI machines enhance the efficiency and accuracy of medical professionals in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of diseases and conditions. Installing and de-installation of these high-tech systems require a specialized team to safely ramp the magnet down, disassemble/assemble as applicable, and rig the system in or out of the facility. Other factors need to be accounted for such as wther or not the magnet is cold, and if it has enough helium to remain cold for transport, etc.
