The Hologic Selenia Dimensions is a 2D and 3D imaging system specifically designed for breast tomosynthesis. Designed to be used in hospitals and clinics for mammography applications, the Selenia Dimensions is a flexible and versatile breast imaging system that can improve the workflow efficiency and can deliver high quality images.
The Selenia Dimensions features a number of procedure modes designed to be used for multiple applications. It includes 2D mammography, Genius 3D Mammography exam, Low Dose Genius 3D Mammography exam, 3D Mammography only, 2D or 3D biopsy with the Affirm breast biopsy guidance system, and the I-View software for contrast enhanced 2D imaging. All these systems are designed to be used with the Affirm breast biopsy guidance system.
These multipurpose modes allow the Selenia Dimensions to provide unmatched sharp images, seamless transition between the imaging modes, and an ergonomic user interface and tools designed to simply the operations. The Genius 3D Mammography exam can also detect more invasive breast cancers than the 2D imaging platforms.
The Selenia Dimensions is equipped with a high-resolution display which allows the images to be viewed on a 2MP or 3MP DICOM display. It can also recall previous breast imaging studies, allowing for side-by-side viewing of prior and current images. It is also provided with an optimized face shield and can be stationary during 3D imaging that allows the patients to be positioned as if they are positioned for 2D imaging.
