The Nellcor NPB-70 Capnograph is a handheld portable capnograph intended for use on adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. It uses Microstream technology, utilizing non-dispresive infrared (NDIR) spectroscopy to measure the amount of carbon dioxide during every breath, at the end of exhalation and during inhalation (FiCO2). It can be used in any environment where continuous, non-invasive monitoring of tidal carbon dioxide (EtCO2) and respiratory rate is needed. The measurements are conveniently displayed on the 7-segment LED digital displays while below it is an LCD screen which displays values in graph form. A four-button keypad allow easy device operation to change system settings and monitoring parameters. The Nellcor NPB-70 Capnograph can also run on its internal nickel metal hydride battery (Ni?H) between four to seven hours, making it ideal for mobile use. In addition, it is able to connect to a printer through its Communication Adapter Kit and provide comprehensive documentation.
