The Olympus GIF-XQ40 is a fiberoptic gastroscope used for gastrointestinal endoscopy applications in hospitals and clinics. The GIF-XQ40 delivers sharply defined images and features a narrow insertion tube and instrument channel, a broad field of view, and an ergonomically-designed grip. These features make the gastrointestinal videoscope well suited for facilitating accurate observations in a way that is more convenient and comfortable for the patient. The GIF-XQ40 has an insertion tube with a diameter of 9.8 millimeters, an instrument channel with a diameter of 2.8 millimeters, and a working length of 1030 millimeters. These features allow the compact GIF-XQ40 to lessen patient anxiety, distress, discomfort, and improve user experience. The GIF-XQ40 has an ergonomically designed grip which can increase the scope's maneuverability, and readily accessible controls with user-programmable switches which enhances ease in device operation. The video gastroscope has an ultra-responsive 4-way angulation system and a 120-degree field of view, which permit a complete and accurate observation within the upper gastrointestinal tract. The GIF-XQ40 is compatible with Olympus light sources such as the CLK-3, CLK-4, CLV-10, CLV-160, CLV-180, CLV-U20, and CLV-U40. The fiberscope can be easily and effectively cleaned, either manually or with an Olympus Medivators Scope Washer.
